    • Taiwan Critical Care Training Center/Program was announced. We unified the abilities and equipment if hospitals apply for the Training Center/Program.

  • 2008

    • The first examination for Instructor of Specialist in Critical Care Medicine was approved. 309 doctors were qualified through recommendation and selection.

    • The Symposium of Total Organ Preservation (TOP) iCare: 10 sections

    • The Symposium of Evidence, Experience and Guideline: 12 sections

    • Fundamentals of Disaster Management (FDM) was authorized to be held in Taiwan by SCCM. TSCCM trained 41 FDM instructors.

    • To coordinate the examination system for the Specialist of Critical Care Medicine, three societies (Taiwan Society of Critical Care Medicine, Society of Emergency and Critical Care and Taiwan Society of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine) organized the Joint Committee of Critical Care.

    • The first course for ACLS instructors was held in China.

    • The Symposium of ACLS 2000 New Guideline The Symposium of Live Demonstration in Taiwan Modified FCCS Course for Taiwan Nurses (FCCN)

    • The Symposium of Earthquake (Mass Disaster)Rescue was been held to commemorate the massive that occurred on earthquake on September 21, 1999.

      In order to represent all professional components of the critical care team, TSCCM allowed “Related Members” such as nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and RTs to join the Society.

      The first examination for Specialist of Critical Care Medicine was approved.
      587 specialists were qualified through recommendation and selection.
      TSCCM participated as a member of the ACLS Joint Committee (Taiwan).

      TSCCM began publishing its official journal, italicize “Taiwan Critical Care Medicine”

  • 1998

    • October 4

      Taiwan Society of Critical Care Medicine (TSCCM) was established and held 1st Annual Conference.
      Charter members : 1,757 doctors including 13 divisions
      Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (FCCS) was authorized to be held in Taiwan by Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
      TSCCM trained 80 FCCS Instructors and held at least 5 courses every year.
      Until 2007, TSCCM held 40 courses and over 2,600 FCCS Providers(Taiwan) were passed.
